Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Endocrine Surgery

Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Our NP/PA will become an integral part of the growing Endocrine Surgery Division with Banner University Medicine in Phoenix. The Division of Endocrine Surgery is a center of excellence providing state-of-the-art patient care that is compassionate and comprehensively treats thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders. Work and learn alongside fellowship-trained, experienced, high-volume endocrine surgeons who perform both routine and complex, re-operative cases, and are passionate about educating and inspiring.

Work Schedule: Full-time. M-F, 8-5, no call requirements. As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, this position involves the clinical management of patients, including post-op and established patients, follow up on therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research. The operating room responsibilities are to first-assist with surgery in thyroid and parathyroid operations. This position requires working closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. This relies heavily on the skill sets of critical thinking, devoted work ethic, and excellent communication. Your time will be spent in the Clinic 2 days/week, in the Operating Room 2 days/week and in Coordination of Care 1 day/week.
Required Qualifications:
- Current NP/PA experience
- 3 years NP/PA experience and 1 year OR experience
- Current Arizona License
- Head and Neck and Endocrine experience area a plus
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
