Bayhealth Radiation Oncology Associates are seeking an additional full-time, employed radiation oncologist to support its growing oncology program. IMRT, SBRT, SRS and HDR experience are required. Must be a graduate of a recognized medical school and must have completed a recognized residency program.
Bayhealth is a growing regional health system is comprised of two hospitals and numerous satellite facilities in central and southern Delaware. With more than 4,000 employees with a medical staff over 670 physicians, Bayhealth provides state-of-the-art cancer treatment, clinical research, care coordination, education, and prevention services and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Bayhealth recently completed construction of a new hospital campus on its southern location in 2019 that includes an integrated cancer center that will be equipped with a Varian VitalBeam linear accelerator and 64-slice CT simulator unit.
In 2012, a new integrated cancer center in Dover, Delaware was opened with Varian TrueBeam and Trilogy linear accelerators with Rapid Arc, Varian HDR brachytherapy, GE large bore CT simulator unit, and Eclipse treatment planning. The Oncology Service Line uses the ARIA radiation therapy platform that is fully integrated with Bayhealth’s EPIC system.
The health system supports two integrated cancer centers locations on the Kent and Sussex campuses approximately 20 miles apart, providing cancer services to Central and Southern Delaware communities and sees approximately 1,000 newly diagnosed cancer cases each year.
Bayhealth is a member of the Penn Cancer Network of the University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center.
