Facilities Description

United Hospital System has been part of the southeastern Wisconsin landscape for more than a century. With two acute care, state-of-the-art, modern hospital campuses with 443 licensed beds and free standing clinics, United serves as the primary comprehensive regional healthcare system, providing approximately two-thirds of the acute healthcare services for the community.

The St. Catherines Medical Center Campus, opened in 2002, is located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, near Interstate 94. The newly remodeled Kenosha Medical Center Campus is located near Lake Michigan in the city of Kenosha.

Due to continued growth, United has expanded its free-standing clinics in the area. In 2013, a four-story medical clinic building housing specialty services and physician clinics was built on the St. Catherines Medical Center Campus. In 2015, a three-story medical clinic building opened in Somers, Wisconsin, located on the north side of Kenosha County, offering physical therapy, a warm water pool, audiology, family practice, immediate care, laboratory, and radiology services.

United is debt free and continues to remain financially sound enabling patient care services with the most recent advances in technology, and up-to-date equipment and facilities.

Community Description

Kenosha County is situated midway between Milwaukee and Chicago near the shores of Lake Michigan. Home to a growing number of corporate headquarters and businesses, including Snap-On Tools, Jockey International, Amazon, and Uline, Kenosha County is a great place to live and work. One of Kenoshas most significant features is the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline which is filled with parks, beaches, festivals, a miles-long promenade, one-of-a-kind museums, an authentic electric streetcar system, and the HarborMarket. A short distance from Lake Michigan, there is a lively downtown area with shopping, dining, and the arts. Kenosha County also offers the Kenosha Kingfish baseball league, Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets mall, pristine golf courses, tranquil inland lakes, hiking and biking trails, and a ski and snowboard area. With a strong education system, Kenosha County has public, private, and parochial schools along with four colleges University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Carthage, Herzing University, and Gateway Technical College.
