Dover Behavioral Health System, located in Dover, DE is recruiting for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for fulltime employment.  The new PMHNP will split their time between our Partial Hospitalization program, Intensive Outpatient services and on site TelePsych coverage for our satellite locations.

Salary: Very competitive but based upon candidate’s experience, credentials and scope of work.

 Job Requirements

• PhD or Master’s Degree in Nursing from recognized school of nursing
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/APRN in the State of Delaware or willingness to obtain licensure in the State of Delaware.
• Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health
• Current National DEA Certificate

   

  The friendly staff at Dover Behavioral Health System is proud to provide inpatient behavioral health services for adolescents and adults. In addition, we offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for children, adolescents and adults.

   

  Our facility provides mental health services as well as drug and alcohol dependency treatment programs to benefit patients, their families, and to better our community through health and wellness.

   

  Partial Hospitalization Mental Health Services for Adolescents and Adults include:

   

  Psychiatric evaluation
  Medication stabilization if necessary
  Daily group therapy and skills training
  Family therapy sessions
  Academic instruction by on-site, certified teachers
  Expressive therapies including art, music, movement and yoga
  Communication and follow-up, including following IEPs, with school personnel and outpatient therapists
  Personalized discharge and aftercare plans

   

  Dover Behavioral Health System provides individualized comprehensive treatment to active duty, retired, reservists and National Guard members of all branches of the military.
  Through our inpatient, partial and evening programs, military members and their families receive quality and specialized care from our dedicated clinical team of psychiatrists, social workers, allied therapists and mental health technicians. Our psychiatrists and social workers have specialized training to provide care to active duty members.

   

  While at Dover Behavioral Health System, military members have the opportunity to address issues related to trauma (including PTSD treatment), work related stress, family conflict and adjusting to a new environment.

  Specialized care is provided to military members through the use of:

   

  Trauma-focused group therapy
  Coordinated care with commanders and mental health specialists for follow up
  Daily contact with military mental health professionals to provide up to date and current status
  Medication management coordinated with military formularies
  Family meetings held with military supervisors if necessary
  For those who seek co-occuring disorder and substance use disorder treatment, Dover Behavioral Health System has certified drug and alcohol counselors available to address those specific needs

   

  Telepsychiatric Consultations :

   

  Dover Behavioral Health System was the first behavioral health provider to partner with a health system in Sussex County to provide psychiatric consultations and ongoing treatment to patients in the primary care and inpatient hospital setting. Dover Behavioral Health psychiatrists routinely see patients of the Nanticoke Health System via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth link. This program, which is covered by most major insurers, provides access to psychiatrists otherwise unavailable to patients in Southern Delmarva.
