Full Time Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Job in 30 minute drive to downtown Chicago, IN
HEADLINE:  Indiana (within 30 minutes to Chicago): Ob/Gyn needed for a large healthcare organization.  This multi-specialty group has one Ob/Gyn, one midwife, one pediatrician, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Family Medicine physician. Weekday and weekend call will be 1:3.  It is light call because the Midwife takes all first calls.  Patient volume is very reasonable --  3 days in clinic, 1 day of surgery and 1 day Administrative.  Admit to only one community hospital with a level 3 NICU.  $ Very good financial package and earning potential, including medical school loan repayment assistance!

 
LOCATION:  INDIANA
 
  • The new Ob/Gyn candidate will have a choice:  (1) Can easily live in the Chicago downtown area or immediate suburbs.  (2)  Or live in a really nice community in Indiana and enjoy all the amenities of Chicago.

  • Their office and hospital are both located within a thirty minute drive to downtown Chicago.

  • This area is considered to be part of the greater Chicago metropolitan area.  

 
PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:

  • An Ob/Gyn physician is needed to join a growing and expanding community healthcare organization.

  • The new Ob/Gyn physician will be working for a multi-specialty group that has an one Ob/Gyn, one Midwife, a Pediatrician, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Family Medicine physician.

  • Due to the community demand, this clinic is expanding all its services and will soon add more primary care and mental health services.

  • The patient volume is very reasonable.  The schedule is three days in the clinic, one day of surgery and one day Administrative.

  • Weekday and weekend call will be 1:3.  It is light call because the Midwife takes all first calls.

  • The Ob/Gyn would be called in for complications and/or C-sections.
  • Hospital: 
    • There is no running around.  Deliveries are performed at only on community hospital. 
    • It has a Level 3 nursery (NICU). 
    • They treat high-risk pregnancies.
    •  Four labor rooms.  (They never had a problem being overcrowded.)
    • They have a Neonatologist available 24/7.
    • They do not have any Robotic equipment.
    • Their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has 12 beds.
    • Their Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) has 12 beds.
    • This hospital has a great staff.  All their nurses have been there a long time.
    • The patient volume is very reasonable.  The schedule is three days in the clinic, one day of surgery and one day Administrative.

  • This healthcare organization provides excellent services to a medically underserved patient population. They have facilities throughout Indiana treating the whole patient with services to include Lab, X-Ray, EKG, etc.  All physician specialties are represented. 

  • The office that the new Ob/Gyn will be working has a great staff and congenial colleagues.

      
  • Availability:  Ob/Gyn residents who will be completing their training during 2018 and June of 2019 as well as Ob/Gyn physicians already in practice are all welcome to apply and will all be strongly considered.

  • This is an employed opportunity.
