General Surgery

A rural community hospital in northern New Hampshire is adding a General Surgeon to its team-oriented, collaborative, and patient-focused group.

About the opportunity:

• The team includes several per diem and locum surgeons
• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Option for a 4-day work week
• Call 10 days per month
• Meditech EMR
• This position offers a broad scope of practice of a typical rural, community surgeon (providing office-based general surgery services to new and established patients of all ages)
• Clinical support is provided by a medical assistant
• Annual volume for operative and endoscopy cases combined ranges from 400 to 1,100 cases based on the experience of prior surgeons. 
• The achievable volume in the first 1-2 years is projected to be 500 to 700

Financial Package:

• High base salary plus bonuses
• 7 weeks vacation and CME
• Funds for license, DEA, Medical Staff dues, professional memberships

Community/Location:

• This community, which has a population of just under 10,000, is located along the Androscoggin River in northern New Hampshire.
• 2 hours to Manchester Regional Airport. 3 hours from Boston
