Job Description: Pain Management Physician:

Specializes in pain management; training in anesthesiology, physical medicine, or neurology. Examines

patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain. Recommends tests to determine extent of

pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain. Provides relief from acute or chronic pain through the

use of medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other therapies. Proficient in interventional

techniques: nerve blocks, fluoroscopy, radiofrequency, spinal cord stimulation, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

' Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

' Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule

' Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

(HIPAA).

' Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers,

clients, members, providers and customers.
