Ascension St. Vincent’s Chilton in Clanton, AL is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist with a passion for relationship building and program expansion.   You will work with our elite Cardiology team based at St. Vincent’s Birmingham.  This team provides many levels of cardiovascular care with compassion and expertise.

    • Provide General Cardiology Services in an underserved captive market with plenty of business
    • Position is perfect for both a general, noninvasive Cardiologist or for an invasive/interventional Cardiologist looking for a more balanced lifestyle
    • Lab time can be available at St. Vincent’s Birmingham if desired
    • Great growth potential through marketing and developing a strong relationship with our ER physicians, hospitalists and community-based providers
    • Get to know your patients well, no other partners will see your patients at St. Vincent’s Chilton
    • Work Monday through Friday except holidays

      You and your local team (advanced practice provider, clinical and clerical staff member) will work together with your patients to ensure continuity of care for cardiology patients.

      You will be employed by Ascension Medical Group, a division of Ascension Health, one of the largest not for profit acute care hospital systems in the country.

      Responsibilities

      • Consult on in-patients, make rounds as needed and follow-up after diagnostic testing is completed.  Manage patients in the clinic.
      • Authorized user on the nuclear medicine license for nuclear cardiology services
      • Monitor and manage the following: ECGs, Stress Testing, Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing, Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Carotid Dopplers, Arterial / Venous Extremity Exams, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitoring, Loop Recorder Placement, CT Calcium Scoring Exams, Cardioversions, Pacemaker Interrogations
      • Call rotation on current patients at St. Vincent’s Chilton
      • Ingratiate yourself with the Clanton medical community and the community in general to grow your clinic volume

         

         What You Will Need

        Required Credential:

        Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

        Preferred Credential:

        Board Eligible/Certified in Cardiology

        Education:

        Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required

        Work Experience:

        Over 5 years of experience preferred
