Cardiology

The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center provides first class comprehensive cardiovascular subspecialty care for the entire region of North Georgia. This includes general cardiology, advanced imaging interventional and structural cardiology (including TAVR and Mitraclip), congestive heart failure, electrophysiology (including LAA closure, Afib ablation, etc), peripheral vascular interventions, shock team (ECMO and PVADs) and women’s cardiovascular health programs.
 
The Heart Center, the state’s leader in cardiac care, is currently recruiting a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Cardiac Observation Unit.
 
Opportunity Details:

• The Heart Center consists of 29 Physicians and 50 Advanced Practitioners (EP, Non-Invasive, Interventional and Advanced Heart Failure)
• AP will be responsible for the care of patients in the Cardiac Observation Unit providing overnight coverage
• Seeking an advanced practitioners for nights
• 7 days on/7 days off; Inpatient; Gainesville hospital
• The ideal candidate will possess a mature, warm and patient personality with a passion for Cardiology. Flexibility and compassionate bedside manner are essential. Must be progressive-minded, self-starter who takes initiative while working collaboratively with supervising physician(s)and other clinical staff.

  Requirements:

  • ACNP/PA License Required
  • Must be Acute Care certified or completed training prior to 2015
  • Must have at least one year of experience in cardiology as an advanced practitioner
