Cardio-Thoracic Surgery

Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide support to our Cardiothoracic Surgeons and team.  Our PA will be seeing patients in Cardiothoracic surgery setting Monday-Friday, providing clinical coordination and triage. Our PA will assist with admissions, consults, discharge and general management of CT patients.  Prior Cardiothoracic experience in an in-patient setting and CT surgery 1^{st assist experience required.}

As a Physician Assistant, this position is involved in clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, wound care, interpretation of diagnostic tests, education, consultations. This position requires working closely with Surgeons/Residents/Fellows and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.   You will also need to ability to work independently to maintain patient flow efficiency.

Work Schedule: Full-time : M-F 7am-4pm

Patient Volumes: 15-20 patients per day

Required Qualifications:

• Current Board Certification
• Current Arizona License
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
• Surgical first assist certification  
• Experience preferred
