Outstanding opportunity for an experienced (minimum 5 years experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred), certified Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant to join an established single specialty cardiovascular surgery practice in Gastonia, NC, located just outside of Charlotte, one of the fastest growing cities in the country.  The Program currently does about 300 Open Hearts per year.  Responsibilities will include operative first assistance of cardiac surgeons (experience in endoscopic vein harvesting required as well as proficiency at Open Heart Assist), postoperative care of ICU and floor patients as well as follow up clinic visits.  Caromont Regional Medical Center is a 435-bed comprehensive and progressive hospital with state of the art ORs and Cath labs and an active medical staff of over 300 physicians representing all medical subspecialties including established surgicalist and intensivist practices.  This will be an employed opportunity and will offer a competitive compensation package including salary guarantee, paid time off, generous benefits and CME and relocation allowance.
