Southeast-based Alabama health system seeks an additional Cardiovascular Surgeon to join their well-established practice of 3 board-certified surgeons. Medical Center has the strongest Cardiovascular program in the region, ranking in the Top 10 percent nationally for patient safety for heart attack, interventional coronary, and vascular care.

Practice Highlights

• 22 ORs with access to 2 endovascular suites and open heart suites
• DaVinci robotic surgical system available
• Call shared equally at 1:4
• 56 total ICU beds with dedicated CVICU beds in the newly expanded progressive care unit
• Exceptional referral-base with strong Primary Care and Cardiology sources
• Robust IM Hospitalist service provides medical consult support for non- surgical illnesses
• Established interventional, noninvasive, and structural heart programs offer this surgeon access to thoracic, cardiac, and vascular cases
• Experience with and willingness to be a part of a TAVR program is requested
