Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery

CVPA - Ft. Walton Beach / Destin - Emerald Coast

• The PA will work mainly with the CV Surgeon for endovascular harvesting
• Also do some work in main OR
• OR has 12 beds 2 specifically for CVOR
  • 1 CV Surgeon
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in the CV surgery setting managing  patients in a hospital setting
    • Relocation assistance available

      The CVOR does approximately 170 open heart cases and 300 thoracic & vascular cases per year.

      Will this PA be working 1st 2nd or 3rd shift? Typically 1st shift

      Do the PAs typically work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts? Varies from anywhere from 8-12 hours depending on pt volume and scheduling, provider will stay until case load is completed

      What are the days that this person will be working? Generally M-F will rotate holidays

      Approximately how much on-call is there a week/month? Call is every third day and third weekend

      Is there a shift differential for their on-call hours? No, this is a salaried position 

      Will the person need to live/relocate within a certain mile radius of the hospital? Must be within a 30 minutes radius of hospital.
